BIG IDEA

Observation and description of changes in the world around us are the first steps in finding and learning about patterns

Essential Questions

How can I visually explain situations where one thing changes based on another?

NOTES

Profit = Costs - Income because subtraction is not commutative. Addition and multiplication is commutative but subtraction and division isn't.
Commutative - able to change the order of (numbers in this case)/ change position.

Commutaive

10-7=3

------------> not commutative (not the same answers

7-10=-3

10+7=17

-------------> Commutative (same answers)

7+10=17

A Question I have is: Is Commutative a Math word or can it be used for anything?
